XV, Patchlevel 2, has been put in the anonymous ftp area of expo.lcs.mit.edu.
It should also be appearing in comp.sources.x in the next few days.

New Features:  bi-direction rotation, a 'Maxpect' command (maximum size, 
preserving aspect ratio), an 'AutoCrop' command (automatically remove
constant-colored borders), and more bug-fixes and '#ifdefs than you can
shake a stick at.
