I think awful is a bit harsh for the mouse button kludge. I've been using MacX and X11R4 constantly for about 3 months now, and I would much rather see the current setup than some seriously derranged command-shift hack. After using X for a while, there actually begins to be a glimmering of logic behind the layout. The mousebutton itself is the first button. <- is the second button. -> is the third button. All in a nice row. But hey, it's obviously a matter of taste. Me myself, this topic will become irrelivent as soon as my 3 button mouse comes in. Then I just need to unpatch the server so I've got the arrow keys back and option is enabled. For those of you interested in 3 button mice for Macs running X windows, contact Advanced Gravis at 800/663-8558. The only 3 button mouse for Macs running X windows. (yah, i'm aware of the 3 button mouse for macivory.) Enjoy! --Chan Chan Wilson Chief Hard-Question Answer Person SRI Intl.
