Before I decided on this chair I did a lot of checking, and got a lot of stats on them. Of the chairs delivered in 1975 and earlier 87% are still in service. That is a very good record for a motorized chair to still be worki. Of the chairs that where delivered in 1982 98% are still in service and anything later it is 100% These figures are a bit low because they did not account for some of the chairs that were out of service for reasons other than repair. Such as the user had died. The average life of a power chair is 5 years the average for Permobile is 10. Most of the repairs also are easily fixed because of the modular design of the components and they average and hour repair time. Not bad.
