On bcm.tmc.edu in the /nfs  directory you will find NEWS and NetNews,
two News-programs for PC/MS-DOS.

I only know NetNews, and it uses PC-NFS TCP/IP. It uses NNTP to
read and post news, and SMTP to send personal answers.
On bcm.tmc.edu is is in the file netnews.tar.Z
