hi,
        contrary to a previous posting on this network, the Goldmund
Ref is NOT a direct drive table.  it is an old fashioned belt drive.
the Goldmund Studio is a direct drive type.  Goldmund first product was
the Studio and when the researched into the Ref, they felt belt drives
to be better.
