As Margaret Thatcher said in her resignation speech: "It's a funny little world
we live in."  Congress has passed legislation for the Army to take on the fixed
wing Close Air Support Mission.  Will the Army get the A-10 now?  Hope so, I am
branching Aviation on 31 May.


[mod.note:  Let me take this opportunity to establish a firm policy on
.signatures. 8-)   The generally accepted Usenet standard (Signature, 
General-Purpose ASCII Dot, M1A1) calls for no more than four lines,
containing a name, email address, and other useful information.  I've
never been strict on this, nor do I intend to be... but 28 lines is
right out.  Long signatures are cute the first time, but boring and
wasted bandwidth ever after.  I therefore announce that in the future I
will reserve the right to trim excessive signatures to a reasonable level.
To ensure that all important information is retained, therefore, I urge
posters to use short signatures in sci.military.   Thanks. - Bill ]
