But what about at the time that certain books were actually written? If one accepts Isaiah as a prophet, for example, then one must accept that his writings were prophetic, or the word of God, by definition. I would say that the Bible is the word of God so far as it is translated correctly. This would permit one to explain away the erroneous and contra- dictory without denigrating the author. "Q"
