First, Rich may not want to quit his current job to become a full time moderator. Some people like their jobs or have career plans that depend on them. Second, what system resources would the moderator use to do his job. Unless he is one of those guys with a raised floor in the spare bedroom he is probably using the systems at work, after hours, to receive, store, compile, test, and post the sources. Testing portability requires access to a varity of systems and software. Does the budget for this moderator include supplying the hardware and software resources needed for the job? I favor splitting the job among multiple moderators if they can be found.
