Lines: 8 Yow -- I'd forgotten I wrote that. Anyhow, the BSD version of scandir is a little better and you might want to get it from the free BSD source tree, instead. As I recall, the thing that made it better is that it did a stat of the directory and then did st.st_size/24 to get the original number of entries to malloc, so it would pretty much never malloc. -- Please send comp.sources.unix-related mail to rsalz@uunet.uu.net.
