We need to count features from electron micrographs and
mark them at the same time, since there are many per photo and
we don't want to skip any.

Is there a digitizing pen that can collect counts, ie presses
and xy coordinates, and mark (ink?) at the same time? It seems to me
this is a similar problem to colony counting. Availability of software
to assist in the process would also be a necessity.
