Message-ID: <11597.2756ea6e@ecs.umass.edu> Date: 30 Nov 90 23:25:34 GMT Lines: 17 Hi everyone. I'm looking for a (set of) benchmark program(s) that I could use to get specs on MS-DOS PC's (8088's-80486's). I would like them to be fair and thorough. (i.e. something better that NORTON SI). Binaries are fine, but C source would be even better. Even better would be C source that I would be able to compile and run also on VMS and UNIX systems. The program does not have to produce any well known benchmark, such as MIPS or MFLOPS, etc (although it is fine if it does). I just need a basis for comparison between machines. Does anyone know of an ftp site or something similar where I could get something like that? Or is this just a pipe dream for me? ;-) Thanks in advance, Bryon Daly, ECE grad student at-large daly@ecs.umass.edu --- DISCLAIMER: I tried to speak for my employers, but they told me to shut up!
