They are located on crl.nmsu.edu [128.123.1.14], anonymous ftp, in directory pub/chinese/. Please try to ftp during nights and weekends. The Csong16.bdf font from the X11R4 mlx contributed program is the same as cclib16st.bdf. Csong16.bdf, Csong24.bdf, and Txian16.bdf came with the X11R4 distribution, so they could already be on your system. They are located in the [X11R4 source directory]/contrib/clients/mlx/ subdirectory. 2. The 8x18 font has been included for sites that don't have an ASCII or Latin1 font that looks nice with the 16x16 Chinese fonts. The Csong24 font looks nice with the 12x24 font that is already available with X11R4. 3. To unpack chinese-fonts.tar: Make a directory to hold the fonts and cd to that directory To extract all files into the current directory: "tar xvf chinese-fonts.tar" To extract a single file into the current directory: "tar xvf chinese-fonts.tar HKU-Ch16.bdf.Z" To uncompress all fonts in the current directory: "uncompress *.Z" To uncompress a single font in the current directory: "uncompress HKU-Ch16.bdf.Z" 4. Don't forget to transfer them in binary mode! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- mleisher@nmsu.edu "I laughed. Mark Leisher I cried.
