The source code for the CRC Tomography package is available for anonymous FTP from apple.com. This is a bunch of Unix programs originally written by Carl Crawford and then polished and documented as part of our PhD work. The package generates projection data and performs reconstructions using either parallel or fan beam geometries. The code is pretty simple and fairly clean. It also has a bunch of concessions to the real world (like it can find the center of projections if your scan axis isn't centered.) There are manual pages included. Most of the conventional tomographic images in our book "Principles of Computerized Tomographic Imaging" by Kak and Slaney, IEEE Press, 1988. were generated with this software. Grab the software from /pub/malcolm/ct.tar using anonymous FTP into the host apple.com. Drop me a note if you have any questions. I haven't done any tomography in five years now but I should be able to help (or try to pass the buck.) Cheers. Malcolm Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
