(I also posted a message much like my review posted here, detailing the horrendous performance of the 9600SA in V.22bis 2400 bps mode.) There was at least one other person who had the same problem that I had. He couldn't connect to other modems at 2400 bps with his 9600SA. However, there is at least one person on this newsgroup who has no problems calling up 2400 bps modems. My current conclusions and recommendations: Some 9600SA's don't work at all at speeds <= 2400 bps. I can't recommend the Practical Peripherals 9600SA. I am willing to pay a lot more, for a modem that actually works. -- favourite oxymorons: student athlete, military justice, mercy killing Ken Hendrickson N8DGN/6 kjh@usc.edu ...!uunet!usc!pollux!kjh
