I recognize this is harsh, and that a more tactful way of communicating this would have to be found. I've seen lots of secretaries using vi to write complex papers in troff with eqn and tbl. If they can do this, I just can't believe an operator or progammer needs something that hold their hand more. These people are just being lazy.
