I've been tgrying for some time now to produce emacs info trees from
various texinfo files; but with very little success.

M-X texinfo-format-buffer invariably stops and complains about things like:

	unknown command @ref


or it complains about @syncodeindex or something like that.

How should I go about turning gawk-2.11/gawk.texinfo into an info tree
for gawk?
