I am posting this for a friend who doesn't have net access and I don't know much (if anything) about the subject. What you apparently do is take x-ray or other type of scan data of an object and from that compute a three-dimensional image. There is apparently a difference between this and medical imaging type software. Any suggestions of sources of software - particularly public domain - would be greatly appreciated.
