I was hoping to create a radial display but a AVS irregular grid looks like the way to go. Two more things: 1. Stardent has supplied us with a GRIB (international WMO standard for meteorological data file reader. It is a AVS data module. We are working on getting a UDF (Universal Radar Format) data file reader also. If anyone is intrested in these send me Email. 2. Is there any way in AVS to tie a particular color to a value in a arbitary slicer? Since we run the data through field to byte and back to field to float it keeps getting distributed over a wider range. 3. Can anyone get a good volume bounds box out of a IRREGULAR 3D field? I have had to resort to creating a second output port declared as UNIFORM to get volume bounds correctly. robert lindsay robert@alliant.backbone.uoknor.edu this was supposed to be the new world
