Keywords: g++, interviews, x11, toolkits Message-ID: <4610@umbc3.UMBC.EDU> Date: 4 Dec 90 22:10:23 GMT Sender: newspost@umbc3.UMBC.EDU Reply-To: cs491125@umbc5.umbc.edu () Distribution: na Organization: University of Maryland, Baltimore County Lines: 24 Just lately I finally got around to trying to build the version of InterViews (2.6, I think) distributed with MIT X11R4. I tried to use GNU C++ version 1.37.1. Well, the 'make World' went to h*ll trying to compile the X11-dependent parts of InterViews; basically the G++ compiler detected some kind of conflict between the prototype declarations in /usr/include/X11/X{lib,util}.h and those in contrib/toolkits/InterView/libInterViews/src/*.h. I imagine there must be some simple explanation for this, but three hours of searching failed to turn anything up. I'm sorry that I cannot post a log of the messages, the machine I usually use has no net access (!). Has anybody out there in net-land encountered this problem? Does anybody know of a good, simple fix that will let me compile InterViews? Getting the latest version from an archive site is neither feasible nor even possible.
