The DoD adopted ATLAS as a standard test programming language in the 1970's. It has also been adopted in the commercial airline industry. There is also a set of IEEE Standards that describe ATLAS (416, 716, and 771). I can't seem to find any information on ATLAS other than the DoD and IEEE standards. ATLAS is not even listed as a keyword in the ACM computer literature surveys. Any ideas of where to find more information?
