Response was, to put it mildly, underwhelming, with most responses being of the "send-me-whatever-responses-you-get" variety. The single substantive response came from edwin@cs.ruu.nl (Edwin Kremer), who referred me to a chapter on sendmail in the Nemeth/Snyder/Seabass book _UNIX System Administration Handbook_ (Prentice Hall).
