Well, when I login as guest, I get some sort of bind error and then the root window appears very quickly thus erasing the error before I can get a good look at what the error is. The next message that appears says that the process is waiting for the X server to respond. Some periods will appear on the screen as if it is waiting. After some time the same message appears and the whole waiting process begins again. I was under the impression that everything on the distribution tapes was setup so that X would run without any additional configuring. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what was the solution?
