I have tried to install Minix 1.5.0 (from PH) on a Hewlett-Packard
Vectra ES/12. My system configuration:

   - 80286 / 12 MHz
   - 640 KB RAM
   - one Harddisk  (fdisk says 6 heads 819 cylinders => 40 MB)
   - one 5 1/4" 1,44 MB Floppydrive

+ Booting with the AT-Bootdisk runs with no problem.

+ Also, the HD test with 
   'dd if=/dev/hd0 of=/dev/null count=400'
  runs with NO problems.

+ In the next step I partioned the HD with fdisk. No problem.

My partion-table:

  #     size
  ------------
  1     40900
  2     20400
  3      3060
  4      9588

+ I make a filesystem on each partion (with size/2).

And now ...
I test the partions with 'readall -b' as described in the manual.

And Minix says: 

  'Controler not ready in com_out'
  'Unrecoverable disk error on device 3/4, block ....'

What is the problem ? 
On the small partion #3 there are no problems !

Is this a compatibility - problem ????
What can I do ....
