Unless you have some objection to genuine quality shareware, I strongly
recommend 4DOS for this.  In addition to the logging capability you
desire, it has many options and features over and above MS-DOS (it is a
COMMAND.COM replacement, if you don't know), and is well worth trying.
You can get it from the SIMTEL archive, among other places.  If you
don't know what that is, reply by email and I'll fill you in.
