According to my notes, you're right that the baud rate divisor for 300 baud
is 384.  My understanding is that in order to double the baud rate, you simply
halve the baud rate divisor.  Hence:
    BAUD    DIVISOR
      75     1536
     150      768
     300      384
     600      192
    1200       96
    2400       48
    4800       24
    9600       12
   19200        6
   38400        3
   57600        2
  115200        1
