Keywords: serial vme tcp-ip sun Message-ID: <3309@cernvax.cern.ch> Date: 5 Dec 90 10:06:02 GMT Organization: CERN, Geneva, Switzerland Lines: 25 Hi all, Our project is to run TCP/IP over a 8 Mbit/s satellite link. Our main problem is to connect a unix host to the satellite modem, using a high speed serial interface, preferably VME. We are desperately looking for such a card, with the following characteristics: - At least, 2 Mbit/s throughput, preferably 8 Mbit/s (or more !) - HDLC framing is accepted - SunOs driver (if available) - if 8 Mbit/s not achieved, several lower speed interfaces accepted (i.e. 2*4 or 4*2). However, these interfaces should be supported by the same board. - If possible, the serial interface should be G703. Information welcome. Please reply directly to me. ----- Jean-Michel Jouanigot External TCP/IP, CERN-CN/CS/EN CH-1211 Geneva 23, Switzerland e-mail: jimi@cernvax.cern.ch, jimi@cernvax.bitnet, jimi@cernvax.uucp Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
