I'm having problems with my ethernet card. Setup: AT compatible with 2Meg RAM, 3Com 3C503 card using thick cable. Version 7 packet driver. FTP cannot initialize the network card. I've tried using the internal 3C503 support, and the packet driver. Neither work. Telnet, when using the internal defs, crashes fiercely after displaying the greeting screen. It seems to work fine with the packet driver installed. My card has 300 I/O address, dc000 base memory address, and interrupt level 3 currently set. I was previously using beta level 9 software with a packet driver loaded, using interrupt 0x7e. I first changed the hardware spec lines in config.tel to several values. All crash the system (telnet) or refuse to load(ftp). Then, I removed all memory-resident programs (console driver, mouse driver, etc.) and tried again. No luck. Good advice welcomed and appreciated.
