I am about to move a number of users from one News reading/posting
machine to another that has a different idea about article numbers.

I am looking for a utility that will "fix up" the user's .newsrc so 
that it is correct for the new machine once the move has been completed, 
but before the users read news for the first time on the new machine.

Is anybody aware of such a beastie?
