They do some fancy image compression and they may get images that look like NTSC but they are NOT 24bit true color. You can see the difference plainly when you compare a 640x480 RGB 24bit color image with a lot of color detail to that of DCTV. What you get with DCTV is an image that looks like a TV image, unlike a 24bit RGB image on a monitor.
