Keywords: DNet handler Help Message-ID: <1990Dec2.150137.670@DMI.USherb.CA> Date: 2 Dec 90 15:01:37 GMT Sender: usenet@DMI.USherb.CA (Pour courrier Usenet) Organization: Universite de Sherbrooke, Quebec Lines: 34 Nntp-Posting-Host: terre.dmi.usherb.ca I need Help with the NETHANDLER found on FF248 which uses the DNET handler by Matt Dillon. I can't seem to set it up proprely. First, where does the "dnet.servers" file goes (which directory) and what do I have to put in it. The sample file looks like this: 8192 sys:dnet/scopy ram: ;File Transfer server 8195 sys:dnet/sterm ram: ;Terminal Window server 8196 sys:dnet/scli ram: ;Shell Server (needs pipe:) 8197 sys:dnet/sloadav ram: ;Load Average Server 9492 sys:dnet/netdnet-server ram: ;File-handler Server I copied all the file to the local machine AND the remote machine. I then issue a mount NET: on both machine which works fine. I then do NETMOUNT NET: FD0 FD0: (FD0: is one of my HD partition's name) and all seem to go right. I do a DIR NET: on the remote machine and I see two directory: Foo and FD0 but when I try do DIR or CD NET:Foo OR NET:FD0, the systeme respond with a NET:Foo [or NET:FD0] not found. I use an Amiga 2000 with a HD as the remote and a plain A500 as the local. Can anyone help me with this? *PLEASE E-MAIL TO ME SINCE WE HAVE LIMITED ACCESS TO THE NET AT MY UNIVERSITY* Thanks Sylvain Tremblay -- +-----------------------------------------------------------------///------+ | Sylvain Tremblay INTERNET: sd05@terre.USherb.CA __ /// /| | | Eric Trepanier CIS: 71640,666 \\\/// # | | | Sherbrooke, Qc, Can TEL: (819) 820-0976 \XX/ _|_ |
