And actually I don't know about the 1020 but the 5.25" drive I had was working perfectly as a standard 880 Ko floppy disk, and I used it as an external drive like a 3.5" (when you don't have a HD, you don't mind having a supplementary drive, even if it's slower than the 3.5) and the pass tru was working (not like on my A1010). I believe it's still a good way to backup your HD, and they're still very good at transfering files between MessyDos machines and Amiga.
