Anyone know how? Message-ID: <9012012052.AA106645@vttcf.cc.vt.edu> Date: 1 Dec 90 20:52:47 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Lines: 18 There is no package designed specifically with connection between the 48sx and the amiga in mind. However, it just occured to me that it might be possible to use the IBM package. The serial port on the Amiga 500, 2000 and 3000 acts like an IBM DB25 port, doesn't it? I don't own either the mac or the pc package, so I don't know what functionality would be added by the software included, but I know that Kermit exists for the Amiga. Would it be possible to connect with the PC cable and use a standard kermit server on the Amiga to transfer files? I just took a look in the I/O SETUP sub-menu, and verified that the default baud setting is 9600 baud -- certainly fast enough for text transfers to a machine which comes standard with only 32 k memory.... Any other ideas? This sounds like an interesting project. Maybe someone could write a terminal server on the Amiga to talk to the 48sx, if kermit won't work..... -- Frank McPherson INTERNET: fmcphers@vttcf.cc.vt.edu -- =========================================================================
