I am ^pleased to say that a kind-hearted person has replied via E-mail that he had ^tried it, and it worked fine. ^ ^ What I didn't expect was someone basically calling me stupid for my actions, ^and looking down upon me because I use a 1000. Not exactly what I thought the ^nets were all about. ^ ^ And to clear up a few things with Mr. Moskowitz, I am not concerned with ^appearance, but rather functionality and the ability for my investment to move ^with me if and when I get a 500. I *did* check before I ordered, thus the two Or for that matter a 2000. It's good to know that the Trumpcard works with the 1000. Kinda makes me wish I hadn't sold it when I picked up my 2000 (I picked up a 1000 somewhere along the line...so pfffft on the naysayers ;-). ^calls to IVS directly. BTW, both times I was connected with Louise for ^technical information. If Mr. Feurer is the "guru" at IVS, they sure don't ^put him on the phone much. I was merely looking for some re-enforcement, or a ^"second opinion" if you will, and that I have received (from someone that ^actually knew what they were talking about, I might add). IVS Tech is IMHO very good. I got accurate info and a call back later to see if the fix worked (mountlist mess up on my part ;-). Not too shabby for such an inexpensive board. Much better experience than my friend had with Supra although they did work things out to everyone's satisfaction. Here's a techinical question you might be able to answer for me: Did they suggest the optional power supply? I heard that this may be a good idea. They said it'd be close on my system (at the time an A500 w/two floppies) but that things should be okay. Later on I heard that the A500 power supply quit after a while. ^ ^Thanks for listening, ^Randolph Turner ^ ^UUCP: {hplabs!hp-sdd ucsd nosc}!crash!pnet01!orb ^ARPA: crash!pnet01!orb@nosc.mil ^INET: orb@pnet01.cts.com NT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- // | Nigel Tzeng - STX Inc - NASA/GSFC COBE Project \X/ | xrtnt@amarna.gsfc.nasa.gov | Amiga | Standard Disclaimer Applies: The opinions expressed are my own.
