Before I did the final soldering, I used jumpers to test my other connections. I turned on the monitor and the A1000, and right on the screen came the "insert Kickstart" message. I assumed that that meant it worked, powered everything down, finished the cable, and hooked it up. As before, I got the "... Kickstart" message. But after installing Kickstart and hearing the disk get read, instead of getting the "insert Workbench" message, the screen went blank. I installed Workbench anyway, and it seemed to do exactly what it should, but the monitor was black. It repeated this 12 times in exactly the same place, so I don't think it's a connection problem (but what do I know?). While I'm somewhat happy that the game worked, that's not the only thing I want to do with my Amiga! Can anyone clue me in on what I did wrong? I'd appreciate any feedback. I'm using Kickstart 1.2,. Thanks for listening. Sal
