Keywords: nfsd, tcpd, nfs, tcp Message-ID: Date: 6 Dec 90 13:56:17 GMT Sender: news@kth.se (News Administrator) Organization: Royal Institute of Technology Lines: 15 Hello, I've got a question concerning the priorities or "niceness" of certain processes, especially tcpd and nfsd. What priorities should they have to get the maxmium throughput when using nfs? We have a couple of pc:s connected to a DN4000 using ethernet and pcnfs, this DN4000 is then connected to our Apollo network with apollo token ring. What we want to do is to make sure that the pc:s have maximum priority when they write to the networked disks. -- Roger Lindell rog@speech.kth.se Phone: +46 8 790 75 73 Fax: +46 8 790 78 54 Dept. of Speech Communication and Music Acoustics Royal Institute of Technology Sweden
