After I received it I realized that my CPU and MMU were SOLDERED!! to my motherboard (who did that? ;-). Anyway, after a quick call to AE they told me to send in my //c and Z-RAM and they would install it. About 5 days later (yes, less than a week) they had returned my machine with sockets installed for the CPU/MMU and the ZRAM in place and checked out. I went ahead and put another 512 on it about 4 months later because I was so happy with the AW support (then 2.0, now up to 3.0) and how well it worked as a RAM disk. Since then we have also picked up a Vulcan (100Meg) for our //e at home and have also been very pleased with that. I would highly recommend AE for the high quality of their products and their excellent technical/support service (picked up the AW 3.0 patch this summer). Look for mail order houses in any of the trade mags for good prices, we bought our Vulcan from Quality (see Incider) since they seemed to be the most reasonable at the time. The Z-RAM was bought directly from AE as they were still fairly new back then. Hope this helped, Dan Palermo dpalermo@usc.edu
