I have a Megafile 20 H/disk, 1040ST, tos 1.0 :-( I also have PCditto2, and it has worked well for about 6 months. Then I decided to clean up my H/disk, so I backed it up (2 partitions: C=14K, D=6K; D contained all the PC stuff). Then I applied DLII, but it munged the hard disk. So I reformatted, using atari's HDX. Then I restored everything to the H/disk. BUT Pcditto2 was unable to read any drives. The mesages from pcd2 looked OK, but when it tried to access disc D it couldn't read it. likewise for C : and A:. Then I thought I'd try to use the old software emulator, PcDitto1, and exactly the same result occurred. At one point, PCD2 said there was no vol label on disk D. Does anyone have any clues about what to do? I've tried dropping the keyboard, and also reseating chips - no good! Is there some way to write a label onto the partition? Or is that not the real bug?
