It has taken me a while to investigate various avenues, but have settled on a two-pronged approach: I plan to take advantage of the offer Don Marquart made re a replacement LQP02 (I didn't like the prices I would have to pay DEC for analysis and repair of the one I now own), and I would like to get font cartridge(s) for the LA100. Which brings up another point: I haven't seen advertisements ANYWHERE for LA100 fonts. Does anybody have info regarding source, price, compatibility, documentation, etc., concerning these cartridges? I am in Fairfax, VA, (703) 273-7210, would appreciate any help anybody has hlh - --- ConfMail V3.31 * Origin: The Pot of Gold - (703-359-6549) (1:109/103) ------------------------------ Date: 11-30-90 (05:48) To: ALL Subject: THINKTANK From: BOB FULLER I was looking at some of the earlier ThinkTank programs and noticed that version 1 & 2 are both copy protected meaning the program disk must be used each time the program is started. Any way around this other than an I-Drive? Any more progress on I drive drivers? Thanks in advance Bob - --- Opus-CBCS 1.12 * Origin: Glacier Peak Rainbow, Bellevue, WA - 206/644-8431 (1:343/3.0) ------------------------------ Date: 11-30-90 (05:52) To: ALL Subject: PC100B MEMORY EXPANSION From: BOB FULLER While adding chips to my PC100B Memory Expansion board recently I bent the tan 10 pin resister pac near the middle of the board. Now the board doesn't work. I receive error messages ranging from main system failure to specific faulty chips. However, the system works great when I install a PC100B Memory Expansion from another Rainbow. I want to replace the resister pac that I believe is faulty but I am unable to find a value for it. It is the bottom most of four resisterpacks just to the left of the center of theboard. Above it, starting at the top of the board are three aqumarine resister pacs, two rows of nine resisters and then the one I want to replace. It is tan, long, has ten pins in a row and bears the number C16395- 00 on one side and C16395-00 8326 on the other. Can someone tell me the value of this part? Any special precautions to take when I go to replace it? Thanks for your help. - --- Opus-CBCS 1.12 * Origin: Glacier Peak Rainbow, Bellevue, WA - 206/644-8431 (1:343/3.0) ------------------------------ Date: 12-01-90 (08:10) To: BOB FULLER Subject: THINKTANK From: FRANK MALLORY BF> I was looking at some of the earlier ThinkTank programs and noticed BF> that version 1 & 2 are both copy protected meaning the program disk BF> must be used each time the program is started. Yes: be careful to avoid bending the legs when you insert it. :-) - --- msged 1.99L MSC * Origin: Silver Bullet - Silver Spring, Md. - 301-622-2247 (1:109/417) ------------------------------
