Bedford, MA Lines: 17 I would like to run file transfers (PROCOMM) in background on my PC while using my favorite editor (uemacs) in the foreground. I have MS windows 3.0, but I can't seem to even run the terminal package provided with windows in the background without losing packets, ultimately destroying the transfer synchronization. Is windows 3.0 up to this task? Should I look into other task switchers instead? I don't use the fancy features of windows, I would be happy with a simple scheduler that worked with the modem. Vital statistics: 386SX 16MHz, 2400 baud internal Hayes compatible. 1 MB memory, soon up to 2MB. Everything works single tasked.
