I just got my T1000SE.  The main reason for me to buy a laptop
is not for travel, but to be able to work in a quiet enviroment.

I had a Mac Plus before which is noiseless (no fan inside). 

The Toshiba (highest rated in one of buyer guide) does make a buzz
sound ...  I wish I knew that even laptop make sounds.

How about your laptop?  I would be interested to here soundless 
laptops from you.
