Message-ID: <20315@oolong.la.locus.com> Date: 5 Dec 90 19:28:46 GMT Sender: news@locus.com Distribution: na Organization: Locus Computing Corporation, Inglewood, CA Lines: 20 I am writing a large document in Word 4 and I am splitting it into multiple sections. I cannot figure out from any documentation how to get Word to automatically insert a section number in a header or footer. Its obvious how to getthe page number, but I would like to number my pages with a scheme of "Page X.n" where "X" is the section number and "n" is the relative page number of that section. I cannot figure out how to get "X" other than hard-coding it in the header. Anyone have a solution? Also, does anyone know if there is a way to force a section to have a particular number, i.e., I want my intial section, the cover page and table of contents to be section 0 and section 1 to be my first chapter.
