Eastman Kodak has a product called COLORSQUEEZ that can do JPEG compression/decompression. However you should know that although there is a standard of sorts for JPEG there is not a similar standard for a JPEG file format. Therefore I do not think you will be able to read the COLORSQUEEZ output into another program that 'reads' JPEG. Fortunately COLORSQUEEZ also can read and write TIFF and Apples own PICT formats.
