If I stand the machine on its side (just like Apple says you can) the hard disk will crash within 7-8 reboots. It will crash to the point where I can't mount it any more. The question is: Is this a problem with my hard disk, or are all of these people in all the commercials and photos in all the magazines that have Mac II's on thier sides looking for a dead disk? The general consences here is that no matter what the manual says, you should not put a Mac II with an internal hard disk on its side. Is that true. BTW the hard disk I have is a Quantom (sp?)
