Message-ID: <1990Dec3.223626.27021@batcomputer.tn.cornell.edu> Date: 3 Dec 90 22:36:26 GMT Sender: eacj@batcomputer.tn.cornell.edu (Julian Vrieslander) Organization: Cornell Theory Center Lines: 16 I saw a note in one of the weeklies that Hewlett-Packard was introducing a DAT backup device, with 8 Gigabyte capacity, for $1600. But the price may be for OEM purchasers. I have not yet been able to get any information about this device, other than a referral from H-P to one of their component distributors (a sales- person is trying to track down some literature for me). Does anyone know if this product is (or will be) available as a ready-to-run peripheral for a Mac? If so, at what cost? I would *love* to buy a DAT box for our lab, but the prices are way too high at present. -- Julian Vrieslander Neurobiology & Behavior, W250 Mudd Hall, Cornell University, Ithaca NY 14853 INTERNET: eacj@theory.tn.cornell.edu BITNET: eacj@crnlthry UUCP: ..cornell!batcomputer!eacj
