Well, Let's start off with the easy parts. Desktop DB & DF: These are (correct me if I'm wrong) new desktops created by Apple Desktop Manager in place of the ordinary Desktop File. Apparently, Desktop Manager keeps these files open fulltime, avoiding the occasional (slow) write to the desktop file. Originally used for servers, etc, DM works well for most if not all macs. Printing under Multifinder: Yes, I have had this same problem. Can't tell you what it was, but it was a pain. Incidentally, what MF were you running? I WAS running MF 6.0.5, but I'm now running 6.1b9. Anyhow, my solution was to use Installer and re-install the whole thing. This worked for me. later! Norman Choe
