Steve mentions NQS. It was inspired by BRL's MDQS, which also runs fine
on SGIs. (Batch jobs, printer spooling, etc).  You can get it via
anonymous ftp from host FTP.BRL.MIL, file "arch/mdqs.tar.Z".
