I am a student who is very confused by the way things are dealt with in
X11. I am trying to install my own custom colormap in a window and I have
many problems with this.

Can someone send me an example program showing how to install your own
custom colormap in a window (working with XView under OpenWindows)?

Can someone send me the precise (if any!) values for a false colormap, a
heating model and a true colormap?
