Keywords: help Message-ID: Date: 6 Dec 90 18:49:30 GMT Sender: news@news.iastate.edu (USENET News System) Distribution: usa Organization: Iowa State University, Ames IA Lines: 14 My first attempt didn't appear to make it, so here goes again: I am having problems with A/UX 2.0 giving me `Warning: swap space running out. needed xx pages', where xx varies depending on what I'm trying to do. I got several of these errors while the system was doing almost nothing ( I was logged in on console and ttyC1, and was idle. I had Blackout and Superclock! on). I have 18 meg of disk space allocated to swap, and have not run into any problems during heavy use (up to 4 'make's at a time). It seems like the space isn't being de-allocated when it's no longer needed. Anybody else have this problem? Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. Email to me; I'll summarize if/when I find the problem if there's interest. Jon Hamilton hamilton@kickapoo.cs.iastate.edu
