(Note that the above are all basically synonymous for the most part)

Is there a driver that will force Windows to use my sound card (an LAPC-1 by
Roland) for audio instead of the "speaker" inside of the machine? I notice
there's a menu for it in the setup screen, but I've not heard of any external
sound drivers.

(I'm probably hoping for too much, but, hey)
