Keywords: paradise vga extended Message-ID: <1990Dec6.225555.23831@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu> Date: 6 Dec 90 22:55:55 GMT Sender: news@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu (News) Distribution: comp Organization: University of Illinois at Urbana Lines: 20 I installed the recently posted Windows 3.0 display drivers for the Paradise VGA chipset. There were three drivers supplied: 640*480 256 color 800*600 16 color 1024*768 16 color The 800*600 driver works nicely. The other two work to some extent, but not very well. I get color changes, distortion on the display, and foreground and background colors interact strangely. My VGA is a clone using the Paradise chipset. It has 512K RAM and seems to run conventional stuff pretty well. I'm using a Matsushita ViewPerfect 3 multisync monitor. Has anybody else used those modes successfully? I'm trying to pinpoint whether the problem is in the drivers or my hardware. -- Mike Berger Department of Statistics, University of Illinois AT&TNET 217-244-6067 Internet berger@atropa.stat.uiuc.edu
